Let's talk about some light-hearted topics here like how I spend my day-off yesterday else, you will get tired of me giving you entrepreneur tips every week.
Yesterday was the first of my two weekly days off. I decided to have some self-pampering because I noticed I have taken myself for granted for the last three months.
During quarantine, my mindset shifted to "Well, there's nowhere to go, no one to notice so it's okay not to have my pedicure, hot oil, skin regimen, make-up, and exercise."
But then, I realized this is not a healthy way to stay indoors in this pandemic times. Even when I am not going anywhere except to go to the bank twice a month, this is still not an excuse for me to neglect myself.

So, yesterday I started my day with a one-hour low-impact exercise I downloaded from YouTube. That perspire me enough. I felt a little bit better because I often spend 12 hours sitting in front of my computer.
When I was working in the office, brisk-walking was my kind of exercise. That prevents me from high blood pressure brought about by stress at home or on the job.
Still, I don't exercise daily nowadays so the question now is, "Is exercising once a week enough? If so, how long?"
"A new study suggests that exercising just once or twice a week can reduce your risk of dying from cancer, cardiovascular disease, and all other causes.
In the study, which was recently published in JAMA Internal Medicine, Australian researchers compared exercise habits to death rates among over 63,000 men and women between 1994 and 2012.
While you'd think regular exercisers would outlive those who exercised less than is recommended, or met recommendations but hit the gym infrequently, researchers found that compared to inactive people who never exercised, those who did any amount of exercise stood to benefit pretty significantly, with about a 30 percent lower risk of death all around." - Cosmopolitan.com
At least 150 minutes of moderate exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous movement.
Since I am now working from home, I know I need to take extra effort to have exercise. I don't aim for the sexy body (though it isn't bad), I just want to be healthy because I can't choose what to eat. I eat everything and I love eating.
If I have to continue eating all I like, I should at least have an exercise to sweet them out, right? This is of course on top of my household chores.
Hmmm, I am contemplating exercising 30 minutes daily for five days so that I will not have to exercise rigorously by Wednesday. At least that would set my day and my mood. What do you think?
Another thing I did is to hot oil my dry and damaged hair. The hair fall is quite concerning
because I feel I am losing more than a hundred a day.
I have bought Minoxidl Regrow before but I can't see any results maybe because I am not using it too, often :-). I'm a lazy person when it comes to beauty-regimen. I usually spend most of the time studying and reading daily.
Well, losing hair is part of the peri-menopausal phase which I think I am experiencing at the age of 41.
According to chapelhillgynecology.com, "Hormonal fluctuations are responsible for hair loss during perimenopause and menopause. Estrogen and progesterone keep the hair in the growing phase, making it grow faster and stay on the head longer. When estrogen and progesterone levels decline, hair growth slows and hair loss becomes more pronounced."
So I should not be surprised if this is happening. Although, I know I need to do something to lessen the side effects. That's when I decided to ask my hubby to buy me coconut which I cooked to extract coconut oil. Based on my experience, this is the cheapest and most natural way to have hair regrowth. Plus, it can make your hair darker.
One coconut made me half a bottle of oil. I can use this for two months I think since I will have hot oil once or twice a week only. The smell is not so good, though.
If you don't know how to cook this, buy ready-made virgin coconut oil or this product here.
Thank you, Lord, I never had breakouts this pandemic except before and after my menstruation. Thanks to Apple Cider Vinegar which I use as a toner. This helps me heal and prevent pimples.
What we have are some bouts of prickly heat on arms and legs. My husband and kids got some boils also maybe because we are staying indoors all day.
But these are okay now.
Aside from Apple Cider Vinegar, I also use Ponds Skin Perfector Detox that lightens dark spots. This is a day cream for oily skin yet I use it every night.
I grew old pimply in fact, these pimples are part of my life. I just deal with it and live with it. My skin is ultra-sensitive so I am very careful what to use.
Ever Bilenna and Careline are the only products that work for my sensitive skin.
Every week, when I was working, I used a rock to scrub grime off my skin. This day-off I used this Dove Nourishing Secrets Restoring Ritual Body Wash my mother sent me from Saudi.
It comes with a brush scrub made of plastic net. Well, this product smells really good, nakaka-good vibes, and feeling good.
I read a book one time that says scrubbing your body will make your life longer. This was based on the answer of those old, old people who scrub their bodies often even with a face towel.
If you want a long life, scrub your body, and let your blood flows.
Finally, after four months, my nails are polished again.
I decided to clean them myself which I often do even before. I don't like going to a salon to have my nails clean except when there's occasion.
I also don't want to get murdered since I have cute nails with thin cuticles that they often murdered when they are extracting my ingrown.
I have all I need in the house to clean my nails and I also studied cosmetology so I know how to take care of my own nails.
I became very productive yesterday and happy also because finally, I was able to insert time for myself.
Life should not be all about earnings and work. We must also have time for ourselves.
And this blog must not all about the hard topic of how to earn online in six months. From time to time, I will share with you my life as a family woman and a working mom.
